Twenty Friends enjoyed a two-hour guided walk around the east side of Pittville Park on 27 September. The borough council’s Senior Tree Officer, Chris Chavasse, pointed out the most significant trees, explained the challenges that trees face from extreme weather and pests, and expounded on the aesthetic and medicinal value of particular trees. He is preparing an updated tree walk for the area above the lake, which will be on our website in due course. The previous edition and one covering Pittville Lawn can be found here and our self-guided walks for children can be found here.
